To have a beautiful garden you don't need expensive materials or rare and unusual plants. The secret is to take the materials that are available and combine them so that they achieve a greater impact than they would on their own. Our design team is well qualified, holding both the higher diploma in Garden Design and the RHS Cert. in Horticulture. This along with vast experience of designing real gardens gives Butler Landscapes the ideal combination of theoretical and practical garden design skills. Initial Visit To start the design process Paul will make an initial visit to your garden & discuss your requirements. Working together a brief will be formed which will be the basis for your proposed garden design. To help you with some ideas, we will show you our portfolio of previous work, and establish your likes and dislikes. This will then form the basis for your proposed garden design. The Survey and Outline Sketch A detailed site survey is carried out recording not just the shape, size and aspect but also determining the exact position of all existing features in the garden. A pencil sketch, drawn to scale is produced for your approval. Any amendments can be made at this stage before the final master plan. Master Plan A hand drawn master plan design is produced. Your design is drawn to scale colour rendered to presentation standard & laminated for protection. It shows and names all the main features in your new garden & includes some construction drawings. Planting suggestions & artists impressions of focal points. Planting Plan You may wish to plant your own garden. if so, this independent service can provide a detailed planting plan. Each border is soil tested. Drawn to scale & shows the required amounts & quantities of each variety along with their positions in the border.
