Centre Court

BRIEF
Nestled in the Cheshire countryside this garden required some care and attention to make improvements to their lifestyle. The client wanted to use their garden for leisure purposes by having a tennis court, seating area and additional planting areas with good access links to the house and surrounding garden. Transforming the field into a garden that the client can enjoy with friends and family for years to come.

DESIGN AND BUILD PROCESS
Designing this area was an exciting prospect for the design team. Utilising the existing landform the design creates level changes with retaining brick walls adding form and do structure to the garden softened with planting softening the transitions between areas in the garden. While meandering gravel pathways set amongst planting beds leads the user to the tennis court and connects other areas of the garden effectively.

OUTCOME
Through a careful selection of materials this garden creates a series of spaces for friends and family to enjoy and that link to the existing character of the period property. The choice of materials blends perfectly with the house and links well with the surrounding landscape elements through areas of planting. Retaining walls softened with planting provide enclosure for the tennis court and new paving areas are interconnected with meandering gravel pathways offering a pleasant journey through the colours and textures of the planting. A large lawn area offers opportunities for leisure and relaxation framed with ornamental planting scheme.
