Modern City Garden
This elegant city garden in Warrington was designed to transform a compact urban space into a relaxing and functional outdoor haven. Our clients, Jo and Brian, wanted a modern garden that felt welcoming, low-maintenance and stylish – somewhere they could unwind or entertain with ease.
At the heart of the design lies a formal central lawn, surrounded by decorative gravel pathways edged with steel for a clean, crisp finish. Raised timber beds add height and interest, offering both practical planting opportunities and a sense of enclosure.
A rectilinear timber pergola creates a private seating area ideal for quiet moments or evening drinks. The main paved patio provides a generous entertaining space that flows naturally from the house, while an extended utility area, screened by timber fencing, keeps functional elements neatly out of view.
Soft, layered planting brings colour and movement, blending ornamental trees, shrubs and perennials for year-round structure. A sculptural focal point adds visual drama and draws the eye across the garden, ensuring the space feels balanced and beautifully proportioned.
