The RSPCA Garden – From Chelsea to Stapeley Grange

In 2023, Butler Landscapes were honoured to be chosen as the contractors to rebuild the RSPCA Garden at Stapeley Grange Wildlife Centre in Nantwich, following its success at the Chelsea Flower Show.

A Garden with Purpose

The RSPCA Garden, originally designed for Chelsea, highlighted the charity’s commitment to animal welfare and the importance of creating safe, sustainable spaces for wildlife. It featured rich planting, naturalistic habitats and thoughtful design elements to inspire visitors to welcome wildlife into their own gardens.

Our Role

After its exhibition debut at Chelsea, Butler Landscapes were privileged to be entrusted with carefully reconstructing the garden at Stapeley Grange, ensuring it could become a lasting legacy for the charity. Our work included:

  • Rebuilding the garden in line with the original designer’s vision.
  • Managing the relocation and reinstatement of planting and structural features.
  • Ensuring the garden was sensitively adapted to its new home, where it could be enjoyed by visitors and support the RSPCA’s educational work.

The Outcome

The RSPCA Garden now stands as a permanent feature at Stapeley Grange, offering beauty, inspiration and a place for reflection. For Butler Landscapes, it was a privilege to help bring this award-winning Chelsea garden to a wider audience and to support the vital work of the RSPCA.
