Alice’s Garden, Oswestry Hospital

Butler Landscapes were proud to be appointed as the main contractors for The Garden for Alice at The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital in Oswestry.

A Garden with Heart

The project was developed in memory of Alice, a young patient who inspired everyone she met. The garden was designed to provide a calm, restorative space for patients, families, and staff; a place of reflection, connection and comfort away from the wards.

From Vision to Reality

Working closely with the design team and the hospital, our team transformed the vision into reality by:

  • Preparing and landscaping the site
  • Building pathways and accessible routes
  • Installing seating and social areas
  • Managing planting and finishing touches with care and attention

Celebrated Opening

The completion of the garden was marked by a turf-cutting ceremony and an official opening, attended by the Lord-Lieutenant of Shropshire and representatives from RJAH. It was a moment of celebration for a project that will continue to support wellbeing for years to come.

Our Role

As the main contractors, Butler Landscapes are honoured to have built a garden that holds such deep meaning for the hospital community. The Garden for Alice reflects our dedication to creating landscapes that go beyond aesthetics, offering spaces that heal and inspire.
