The Bees Garden
At Butler Landscapes, we are proud to have been chosen by award-winning French designer Florian Degroise to bring his vision, The Bees’ Garden, to life at the RHS Tatton Park Flower Show, as part of the prestigious RHS Young Designer of the Year competition. This striking, contemporary garden celebrated biodiversity, sustainability and community, featuring reclaimed materials, pollinator-friendly planting and an inviting layout designed to encourage connection between people and nature.
Our team worked closely with Florian to ensure his design was delivered with precision and authenticity. Every element from the sunken seating area and timber structures to the wildflower-rich planting was constructed to the highest standards, reflecting our expertise in building complex show gardens to RHS specifications.
The Bees’ Garden was awarded a Silver Medal and widely praised for its thoughtful approach to eco-conscious design.
Florian Degroise, a French garden designer, gained recognition at the 2013 RHS Flower Show Tatton Park by becoming the first French finalist in the RHS Young Designer of the Year competition. He highlighted his innovative approach to sustainable and accessible design.
The Bees’ Garden was conceived to demonstrate that striking, contemporary garden design can be achieved using affordable, recycled, and reclaimed materials. The garden featured an open firepit area surrounded by wooden benches and planters, creating a communal space that emphasized sustainability and biodiversity. The design aimed to attract pollinators and foster a deeper connection between people and nature.
